And so through my writings I’ve been revealing this ongoing struggle, as to what to do with my time and energy. Some days it is so simple. Be kind, show the world that love exists, and sometimes I feel confused and irrelevant.
But today, with great power, I acknowledge that no action is in vain.
I realize the power of creativity. The power to effect change. With each creation we create waves in the ocean of the current culture.
By embracing our creativity we embrace our power as agents of change.
Art is my weapon of choice. They are peaceful statements of intent. They are charged with emotion.
Today’s choice : EQUALITY NOW!
I pray that my expressions lean towards understanding, compassion, resiliency and the truth – the truth of god, creation, and the natural law.
I am understanding the power of the creative state. How we choose to hold a specific frequency as we create. How we over and over again bring that state into the world as we choose to embody that position.
No action is in vain.
On a personal level we are in constant change, and that personal state is then broadcast into society. We are all modeling behavior for one another and we are not truly aware of how far our actions and insights reach.
With my power of creativity, I choose to incite joy. I choose to bring peace.
I realize the power of creativity right now. I choose to broadcast acceptance and radical loving kindness.
It is not permanent, our states. We are always moving, and so every time I sit down to create, or stand up, or dance, or whatever the particular vehicle is – I acknowledge the importance of being clear about what I wish to evoke.
It is a good practice for me to be aware of what I am intending to communicate with the artwork before I begin.
These automatic writings are very open. The intention is to discover why I am here and to what end I am creating. And today’s understanding is that I will benefit from knowing the intention before I begin.
Today’s writing insists that we acknowledge our roles as creators. That we take responsibilities for our thoughts and actions because they have ripple effects that we are probably not aware of. I am aware of how the slight and subtle actions we take effect the world around us.
Today I vow to use my powers to make the world a more loving place. It is not easy, it requires constant vigilance of our thoughts and behaviours. It also requires patience and forgiveness as we make mistakes. It requires a commitment to growth and learning.
With this writing I accept my responsibility for the powers that I have.
I am accepting that my life is not just my own, but it extends far into the world.
I am responsible for creating the world I want to live in. And that begins on a very small level. With the way I treat myself. The way I treat those closest to me. The way I treat strangers I meet in the street and in the check out lines.
I visualize a world with more smiles than frowns. I visualize a world where people are treated with respect and dignity. I accept that I play a part in the realization of this world.
Again I acknowledge my privilege. I’ve been born in a position that makes it much easier for my words to be heard and considered.
I pray for the strength to remember that I represent more than myself. I pray that I can carry myself with bravery and compassion for the voiceless people who suffer in silence.
Truly devoted to the most joy for the most people, I see value in creating spaces and platforms for a diverse community to be heard and recognized.
I pray that I model courage and compassion.
I believe that one’s life is one’s greatest artwork and in that sense we are all artists.
I pray that my work and life allows people to realize the power of their own creativity and that together we create even bigger waves in the evolution of compassion and care.
I acknowledge and celebrate the power in my hands. I recognize the power that we all have.
I pray for a world that is free of suffering. I pray for a society that loves one another and recognizes the truth. That we are all born of the eternal divine, and that true success for one of us leads to the success of all of us.
