Challenges are embedded in life. We are all bound to hit walls. Encounter doubts and uncertainties. We are destined to be stopped in our tracks. The thing which separates the success form the failure, in the big picture, is those who are willing to try again.
No matter what you are faced with, no matter how insurmountable the ordeal. It is necessary to muster the strength and courage to try again tomorrow.
Every day is a new opportunity to succeed, and you are now informed by all that has not worked.
This is a matter of mindset. No matter how many times you are knocked down. You must be willing to get up if you want to be victorious.
I sincerely believe that we are made stronger and wiser through our difficulties, and so no matter how deflated and defeated I feel today, I know that I have the power to choose. That I can get up again. As long as I am living I have the opportunity to succeed. Because it starts in the mind.
I choose to win. I choose to learn. I choose to wake up tomorrow and leave the past behind me as I envision the future that I want.
We are given an opportunity to realize our potentials while here in this life. So many of us dream and wish but do not work seriously to achieve.
No matter how broken you might feel, and I have been severely broken myself, please know that the choice is yours. There is a way to become the hero of your story. It may not be easy. In fact it might be grueling – it might be the most difficult thing you ever have to do. But on the other side you can have the thrill of victory.
But it starts in the mind.
Believe that your day is coming.
Envision your glorious future, and then break it down into smaller and smaller realizable bits. But believe that it is possible. Believe in yourself. Believe in your ability.
For myself, I envision health. I see myself with is strong body and healthy mind. I look in the mirror and I convince myself that I am worthy and capable of achieving the things I see. I convince myself that success is necessary.
I envision a world that is made more peaceful through my contribution. I see my music and my words bringing ease and joy to people.
I see myself smiling and laughing.
I see myself at the end of my life, knowing that I have lived well and held nothing back.
It is good to dream. It is good to believe that you can achieve them with discipline and effort.
It was in the depths of my sadness that I dreamed of happiness. It is a gift that we have, the ability to imagine.
Be kind to yourself.
Allow yourself to hope, allow yourself to become something new. Dare to become the person that you imagine you are.
As I ground myself into this moment I realize that my future starts right now. That the emotions and feelings I choose to hold in my body lead directly to the next moment. I realize that a dream of the future begins right here.
I close my eyes and I see my health. I see my sweat and tears. I see my happiness. The future is now. Again I look in the mirror and tell myself I can do this.
It is ongoing work, developing the mindset of a victor. But truly, you can be victorious. Define what your win is. Let it be in your control. Win for yourself. Write your rules.
No matter what my past holds, I celebrate this moment as the moment in which I choose my new direction. It is not a denial or rejection of what was, but an acceptance and willingness to adopt a new path.
The future holds great things for those who dare to act on their dreams – for those who are relentless and forgiving.
As I sit down and write, day after day, I am toughening myself mentally. I am facing failures and continuing anyways. Because there are countless challenges and obstacles to overcome. I celebrate the difficulties now as opportunities to reach deeper into myself.
I envision myself victorious. I see myself on day 66, smiling wide and laughing. It is because of the bitter challenges that the realization can be sweet.
I look forward to what life has in store.
